9 Months Old

My babies are growing up so fast, I just can't believe they are 9 months old. So much has changed in the month of July alone. The boys have gone from just laying there doing nothing, to sitting up, crawling, talking (if you consider dada, and baba words) playing with each other, standing with help and even pulling up on stuff from a stomach position. It's like everything happened at all at once. My babies will be walking before you know it.

Ben decided to crawl for the first time on Jason's birthday (July 13) "Happy Birthday Daddy! He is a lot more developed when it comes to sitting and crawling than his brother. I put Ben in mom's laundry basket with just a few clothes in it and I looked away for two seconds and when I looked back he had grabbed the front of the basket and had pulled himself up to a standing position. Oh my, that's a scary thought. Quickly, I took the clothes out of the basket and sat him all the way down in it.

Colton may not be crawling yet, but don't think he can't get where he wants to go, he can roll anywhere and even scoot forward just a little. He started sitting up about one week after Ben did, but he is still not as stable. Colton may not be as developed in the sitting, crawling area, but he can put some serious food down. He is great at eating real food and Ben isn't so crazy about it. Colton also spoke first, which was dadadada and Ben didn't say anything for the longest, once he finally spoke his first word was babababa. Now Colton likes that word too and he says it all the time.

Ben likes to play rough with Colton, he pushes him over, pulls his hair and steals his toys. Ben is very feisty, and studies his toys very closely. It's like he is trying to figure out how it works or something. Colton is more tender hearted and free spirited. It's amazing how two children born at the same time could be so different.
