Babies Personality

It is so funny to be able to already see a personality differences between the two babies. Ben (Baby A) is so calm and easy going. He kicks occasional, but he's really just laid back..... he is already so much like his daddy and they haven't even met yet. As for Colton (Baby B) that's another story. He wants to make sure that his presence is known. I think he is going to be a future punter for an NFL team. Seriously, he kicks that hard. Jason just laughs and says, "that was a good one." Jason has only gotten to feel Colton twice now, usually he quits about the time he puts his hand on my stomach. He hasn't felt Ben at all.

Yesterday I started to worry because I hadn't felt either baby all day long. Usually after I eat they get real active or right before bed when I play them their music, but not yesterday. They made up for it today. Colton even made me jump and yep!

Only 6 more days until I can see my baby boys again.... I get so excited to go to the doctor each month. I think I should start going every two weeks pretty soon. Only 15 1/2 weeks to go (37 weeks). Hopefully!!!!

More Baby Stuff

Here are some pictures of the babies room. We are going to let them share a crib in the beginning and then go from there. I haven't finished the entire room yet, so there will be more pictures to come as I finish it up. I am using the Kidsline, Jungle 123 bedding, it has monkeys, elephants, giraffes and birds in the pattern.

Here is a close up of the art work behind the baby bed. Yes, I painted it myself! I don't get to do stuff like this that often anymore. After being creative all day at work, the last thing I want to do is come home and do it more. My best friend Kari is painting me the wall art for the other wall. I can't wait to see it, she is a wonderful painter. :)
My mom and Mrs Susan made the babies there very first binkies (ducks). They came out so cute, I just know that the babies will love them! They are suppose to be making two frogs to, but I think the binkies were more of a pain than they thought they would be. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

21 weeks - Double Stroller & Car Seats

We received our double stroller and double car seats today thanks to my wonderful mother-in-law. I never dreamed I would be so excited about two car seats and stroller. It's amazing how your priorities change when your having a baby or in my case BABIES. When I go shopping now I don't even look for stuff for me..... it's always for the boys!

Here is a picture of one of the Car Seats we got. It's called Graco, Snugride 32 Infant Car Seat "Montreal Collection." Meaning the babies can use it up to 32 lbs and fits 97% of 1 year old. It also came with a disconnecting base for the van.
This is the Double Stroller that matches the car seats. It's called the Graco, Quattro Tour Duo "Montreal Collection" This is one of those strollers that you can put the car seats in. That was a must for Jason! The stroller can be used up to 50 lbs, so we will get more use out of it as the babies grow.
I did some serious research online to fine the perfect stroller and car seats. I want to find something that would last as long as possible before having to upgrade to the next step. This stuff is way to expensive to not get more that 6 months of use out of it.

I wish you could have seen us trying to figure out how to put the car seats into the stroller.... that took an act of congress to figure out, but I guess we have a lot more practice to come.

I was so worried about how we were going to be able to afford a double stroller and TWO car seats. Baby stuff is EXPENSIVE. I'm definitely in the wrong business. ;) The Lord has always provided for Jason and I when we needed it most. Same as now, all we can do is leave it in Gods hands!

As for an update on the babies.....Benjamin is making up for lost time. He is marking his territory quite well. I think Colton and Ben had a kick match last night. They were all over the place from about 2:00 pm until 11:00 pm. I don't know what got into them. I am feeling great other than these awful headaches. I'm seriously starting to wonder if they are migraines. I can't believe how fast time has gone by, I am 21 weeks today and the count down is on, only 16 to 17 more weeks to go. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! I'm not going to post another picture of my growing belly until I go back to the doctor on August 3rd, because I can tell I have already grown more and i want to give you the FULL effect of how big I've gotten, you'll just have to wait and see. :)

19 weeks, 4 days

I went back for my check up today at the baby doctor and everything went great. The babies are still both boys so I guess we can officially start buying "BOY" stuff! The doctor said everything looks right on track and he doesn't see anything to be concerned about. Amen to that!

I told the doctor today that I don't get a lot of movement out of Baby A (aka Ben), but Baby B (aka Colten) I feel all the time. He said that, that's because Baby B is sitting on top of Baby A. Poor Ben..... but that explains alot!

I am measuring a week ahead of schedule, so that is good news. The boys have grown like crazy in the last two weeks I was scared that I had gained like 15 pounds in a month. I have actually only gained 16 lbs total, but I don't know how! I think the boys are going to come out eating fruit. I just cant get enough of it. I go to Sam's Wholesale once a week and buy peaches, plums & nectorins and I will have it eaten by the weekend. I guess I could have worse cravings. LOL!!!

Here is a picture of Ben (Baby A) in his first 3D photo. You cant see alot yet...but you can make out a face. This is my calm and easy going baby. He gets that from his daddy! :)

This is Colten/Colton (Baby B) - We still are not sure on the spelling. I think he is going to act like me, but look like his daddy! The doctor said that next months 3D pictures will be a lot better, because twins do alot of growing between 20-24 weeks. Colten is still measuring a little bit bigger than Ben, but they say that that is normal.

Here is also a new belly shot of me that I took on July 4th. I'm telling you the boys have had a serious growing spell in the past two weeks. My belly has taken off!!!!! I can only imagine what I will look like in 4 more weeks.

NAME CHANGE.....

One of the babies names has officially changed..... Mitchell is of "NO" more. I figured that would happen. That was the one name we were not 100% sure of. His new official name is Colton Allen.

I had mentioned the name Colton before, but Jason just said no to everything, then we were driving home from Tupelo and Jason said what about Colton. I just looked and him with the craziest face. I actually liked it to!

THEIR NAMES ARE:
Benjamin Edward & Colton Allen

I do need your input on something..... Which spelling do you like better for Colton?
"Colton" or "Colten"

I go back to the Doctor on Monday to see how much the babies have grown. On Monday I will be 19 weeks & 4 days. WOW how time flies!!!!! In the mean time, I am on Vacation until Monday! Yippy Skippy!
