Starting Shots Again
This is just a quick update..... I am starting my shots on Monday 2/23/09. I will be taking a quadruple dose of shots this time, but luckily Jason will be in Arkansas and want have to live with me and all the extra hormones. Lucky him! :) I will go back to the doctor on March 2nd, that's the day before my birthday, to find out what my eggs look like and to find out when he wants me to take the release shot to make me ovulate. If all goes well he will then inseminate me. Everyone please say a couple prayers for Jason and I because the shots puts a lot of stress on me mentally and physically.

Valentine's Day
I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day.

My husband completely surprised me this year. Normally Jason only gets me a box of chocolates and a card for the "Hallmark Holiday", but this year I came home and on the coffee table in the living room was a bouquet of fresh cut flowers, a pot of gold, a box of chocolate raspberry truffles (my favorite) and a card. When I saw it I was in complete amazement, he had out done himself.

We had our alone dinner on Friday night and went to the Paul Thorn Concert on Saturday night with Jeremy and Jennifer. I had never heard any of Paul Thorn's Music until the Concert, but I ended up truly enjoying it! We also got to meet him at the meet and greet, so enjoy the picture.
I thank the Lord every day for my wonderful husband. I think I'm the luckiest girl alive!

Choosing The Right Options
I know that I am getting ready to start another rounds of fertility shots, but I cant help to wonder if I'm running out of options. Meaning.... I have a hard time paying $10,000 + of doing invitro and not having a guarantee of having a baby. It would make me sick to know that I had to pay that money every month and have nothing to show for it.
Jason and I sat down last night and talked about the adoption option. In my mind I kind of feel like I am making peace with the thought of not being able to have children of my own. As for Jason I don't think he is there yet. We are going to continue with the fertility shots a few more times and then weigh our options, when and if the time comes.
I believe that the Lord has plans for Jason and I. Either he is seriously trying me on patients or is preparing me for the road ahead. My faith is in the Lord, he knows what is best for my life.

Back to the Doctor 2/5/09
I finally went back to the doctor on Thursday to start trying to have a baby again. After finally getting pregnant in November and then only to lose it in the long run, took a toll on me and Jason. I have re-grouped and decided that it is time to jump back on the band wagon.
The "Doc" said that he would have to order some more shots, but it didn't really matter since we aren't on a certain time frame since I never started my period back and my lining was so thin it wouldn't matter.....in english: I'm not going to start my period on my on, so I can start taking shots when ever. When I do start the shots, which will be sometime next week, I will be doing 2 Fostimon (pure hormone) & 2 HCG (synethic hormone) fertility shots. I know what your thinking, but no, I am not going to be the lady who just had 8 babies at once & already had 6 at home. That lady has lost her mind!
My body is a little weird and I am seriously starting to wonder if it has anything with my autoimmune disease (Crohn's Disease) The most shots I have ever taken is 3 doses, which was November when I actually got pregnant. He is raising my dosage because every time I try shots I seem to become immune to the previous dosage. Let's hope this works....my pocket book is starting to feel the pinch.
Once I get started with the shots I will keep you up to date.
Emily
