I'm Still Here Hanging Out.

I have reached the point in my pregnancy where I am officially miserable. My feet & toes are swollen, my back hurts, I'm tired all day long and I have carpal tunnel so bad in my right hand that I can't even write thank you cards right now. I am only 31 weeks and 6 days, but I feel like I am more on the verge of 52 weeks. I mean, I'm freaking huge!!!!! Here is a picture of my feet, so you can get the idea. I normally have chicken ankles..... OUCH! Don't look at my poor toe nails they needed to be painted again. I've had them DONE since this picture was taken.

Every time some strange person sees me out they say, "oh my, you can go anytime now" or "you look like your about to pop." and I have to inform them that I have at MOST 6 more weeks left. At this point there eyes pop out of there head and they say, "you'll never make it!" They sure do know how to make a girl feel good. :(

I am so ready to have these babies. Ben has learned how to shove his foot into his mommy's ribs to the point I cant breathe and I want to cry, but I think he is doing this because Colton is kicking him in the back. I'm going to find out what their deal is tomorrow at my doctors appointment. (32 Weeks tomorrow) I'm hoping to have a GREAT picture for you, but no promises! They are mini Jason's, who just like their daddy, hate having their picture made.

30 Weeks & Counting

I finally made it to 30 weeks.....This whole pregnancy has flown by until I hit the third trimester. It maybe the fact that I am huge now, my feet are swollen, I have to pee every 30 minutes & my ability to sleep good has come to a bitter end. Hey, but it will all be worth it in the end, right? :)

Here is a picture of me at 30 weeks..... don't I look huge? Just think I have at least 7 more weeks to go, if not 8. Oh boy!!!!

I went to the doctor this morning for my 2 week check up. Everything went great, the babies are still growing like weeds. They can't decide what position they want to be in, now Ben (Baby A) is head down on my left side & Colton (Baby B) is transverse, with his head down and on my right side. In English, meaning they are both playing kick ball with my left rib. Ouch!

I finally got a semi picture of the boys today. I have been telling everyone all week that I wasn't telling the boys that we were going to the doctor today, so just maybe I could see there sweet faces. They must have gotten the memo that we were going, but they did put on a show for Dr. Williams today.... he got kicked several times. LOL!!!

Ben's (Baby A) pictures from today ultrasound:

Ben measured.....33 weeks, 2 days and his heartbeat was 154 bpm. The doctor thinks that both boys are within 12 oz of each other. Both over 4 lbs.

Colton's (Baby B) pictures from today's ultrasound:
"His mouth is open too."

Colton measured.....33 weeks, 1 day and his heartbeat was 152 bpm. Colton's legs are longer than Ben's at this point.

Everything seems to be right on schedule.....the doctor said he was satisfied with everything right now. I asked him how long he thought I would go and he said he could see me going 38 weeks. OH MY!!!! That's fine as long as my boys are healthy. I go back to the doctor on October 1st, so just maybe the boys will be a little more photogenic then.

I did ask the doctor about the swine flu shot and the regular flu shot. He said that I needed to take it with out a doubt. I had been very worried about taking the swine Flu shot because of not knowing the side effects for the babies, but he said that it would actually protect me and them once they are here. The shots wont be available until October 1st, so I guess I'll have to wait until then.

Baby's room is done

I finally got the final touches finished for the babies room. My BFF Kari did the wonderful art work. Don't you just love it? If you want to compare it to my bedding look back to July's Blog titled, "More Baby Stuff."

My mom is also working on cross stitch for the babies when they are born. She is almost finished, but can't finalize it until we know the boy's birthday, weight and height. I can't wait for her to finish it, it looks so cute! You know I will post pictures of it as soon as it is done. All I need now are for two little boys to arrive!

Thinking of you.....

My mom and I went shopping on Saturday and bought some really cute daycare outfits for the boys to where once I go back to work in January (0-3 months). I can't show you all of them yet because mom is going to give me some of them at my next baby shower, but here is the ONE I can show you.

"ROCK STAR BABIES"

When I saw this outfit I just knew I had to have it. It made me think of my husband and my father-in-law. Jason plays the bass guitar some, but nothing like my father-in-law. Who knows maybe I'll have two future rock stars on my hands. LOL!!!! ( Maybe they'll be rich and take care of their broke momma & daddy.)

Time is getting so close for Ben and Colton to arrive, it seems like just yesterday we were finding out that we were have two babies. Now we are 7 weeks, max away from there arrival. Holy Moly! Man how time has flown by. Next update will be on Thursday after our doctors appointment. Everyone pray that they act right so I can finally see there faces. Toodies till then!

Mommy's First Gift

I forgot to show ya'll this when I showed my church shower stuff. This is what I like call Mommy's First Gift......

Most of the time, when people have a baby shower you get lots of stuff to help mom and dad prepare for a new baby. This was MY first gift that I received that was just for me. I truly love it!!!! I wear it almost everyday. Grayson's mommy Amanda thought I needed this special present! Boy, was she right! :)

Baby Shower #2

Sorry it has taken me so long to post these pictures from my church baby shower that I had last Sunday. I was in such a hurry trying to make it to the shower on time, I ran out the door without my camera. I had to depend on my lovely friends and family to take pictures for me.

Jason and I are so blessed to be apart of such a wonderful church family, Ingomar Baptist Church. I can't express enough on how much we appreciate everything we were given at this shower. It's great to know what great friends we have in our community. Thanks everyone!!!

Here are some very special gifts we received:

This was a very special gift from the Bullock family. Mendy knows just how much I hate to scrapbook and got me started ahead of time. Each book has already been laid out with each boys name, so all I have to do is put pictures in it. Thank Goodness!!!!. She also got us the two personalized gowns with socks.

This is another very special gift! It came from the Alexander Family. Jason and I are both only children, so that means that our boys children wont have any aunts and uncle of there own. Nathan and Ginny are going to be known as Uncle Nathan & Aunt Ginny. They hooked us up with some great stuff! I think there trying to spoil the boys already. :)

I am so excited about the babies coming, they will be here before you know it. Our lives are about the change forever..... for the good that is. :)

28 weeks update

I officially have pregnancy brain or either the lady at the doctors office screwed up.... we will say for my benefit that the doctors office screwed up. Any hoo, to make a long story short, the Doctors office called yesterday and said that I missed my appointment yesterday morning, I told her no I didn't, it's not until Sept 9th. Needless to say it was yesterday, so I went this morning instead. I had to do my glucose test with the orange drink. It wasn' t that bad, I've had worse. I will find out those results tomorrow.

As for the babies, there great and growing like a weed. As usually I don't have any pictures of them because they act like there daddy and HATE having there pictures made. Ben is now breach across the bottom and acts "just" like Jason. He never wants his picture made. As for Colton he has moved cross ways with his head down. He was showing his face, but as soon as the doctor was going to take his picture he tucked his head down. Figures!!!! They are already butting heads, literally!

I am 28 weeks today and the babies are already measuring 30 weeks. The doctor said that Colton weighs 3 lbs 8 oz and Ben weighs 3 lbs 6 oz. He said that this could be a little more than they actually weigh. I only gained 4 lbs this month, which I am really excited about..... that means that the babies gained the weight and I didn't! Yippy Skippy!

I wish I had more to tell you or at least show you. We have started the two week cycle, so I will go back on Sept 17th. Hopefully the boys will feel more like having there pictures made then. Finger Crossed!
